Dr. Peter Wong M.B., B.S., B.Pharm., A.M.
Dr. Wong is a distinguished Australian medical practitioner and politician who in 1996 was awarded the Australia Medal (A.M.) for his services to the community. Dr. Wong entered politics in 1989 and served for eight years as a Member of the Legislative Council of New South Wales. During this period, he was a member of the Health Care Committee which supervised the Health Care Complaints Commission.
Dr. Wong has also served as a Member of the Medical Board of New South Wales, as a member of the National Multicultural Advisory Council to the Australian Federal Government and as a member of the Australian Federal Government’s Professional Review Tribunal.
Dr. Wong practices is a Specialist General Practitioner with experience in assessing, advising and providing counselling services for doctors. His voluntary activities have included serving as Founding Chairman of the Australian Chinese Charity Foundation and he is also the founder of China Vision and Cambodia Vision, which bring eye specialists from Australia to offer free cataract surgery treatment for underprivileged elderly in China and Cambodia.
Dr Wong was born in China and spent his teenage years in Indonesia before moving to Australia where he obtained his medical degree, M.B., B.S., and Bachelor in Pharmacology Degrees from Sydney University.
Janet Geddes, M.A. (Hons), M.A. (Distinction)
Mrs. Geddes is a senior finance, banking and real estate executive who has over twenty years experience in UK, Western and Eastern Europe and Asia-Pacific. She works internationally for leading banks, accounting firms and real estate advisory firms.
Her expertise in the health care sector includes the acquisition and disposal of medical facilities as well as management consulting assignments. Mrs. Geddes has also provided management consulting advice to several Thai resort and hotel operators.
Mrs. Geddes holds two degrees, M.A. with Honours (History) from the University of Edinburgh and M.A. with Distinction (South East Asian Business) from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Her home is in Bangkok, Thailand.
